Rather than gifts, we'd prefer donations for a Kiva fund to help people in the developing world start or grow their businesses--people like Augustine Meledje in the Ivory Coast, Africa. We've created the Covell Development Fund through Kiva. All donations we receive will be continually donated--it gets loaned, gets repaid, gets loaned again to entrepreneurs in developing countries all over the world. Economic opportunity means empowerment, it means choice, it means better lives, it means stronger communities. Helping do that will make us very happy. As we lend, you can see who we're lending to by visiting our Kiva lender page. If you'd like to contribute, you can use PayPal's secure web site using the Donate Now button over there. (If you don't have a PayPal account, you can create one in a couple of minutes.) If you'd rather, you can mail us a check (payable to David Covell) to 3431 22nd St, San Francisco, CA 94110. We'll deposit that check directly into the Kiva fund. If you'd rather give us a gift than contribute to the Kiva fund, we've made a small registry list at Crate & Barrel.
